Bose Triport Headphones

Now, for a style that is entirely different. Of course, sound is still sound, and design really doesn’t matter when you’re looking for the best. Most experts will send you to Bose if you want the best and have the money for it. And Bose Triports are no exception. Not only do these leap ahead of other similar designs in the “I can’t believe I didn’t think of that.” design field, but they also leap ahead in the sound quality field. I mentioned money not too long ago…yes, these things will drain you of $149. However, if you are lucky enough to pick them up at a Factory Refurbished Bose store, you won’t get a price cut, but you will 30 days to get your money back, and 90 days to exchange. You can’t beat that, in my opinion.

As for sound quality, you can’t beat that either. These headphones are solid. They actually employ the use of three drivers (small speakers) in each ear (the “tri” in Triport) to cover the low, middle, and high frequencies. Not only are these worthy of your entire music library, but they’re great for watching DVD movies without bothering your present company. Yes, these are movie quality. I haven’t heard the entire terrorist auction scene in James Bond: Tomorrow Never Dies so well since I was in the theater. What about the physical aspects of the headphones?

Well, there’s two things to notice when you look at the Triports. The first, these things actually cup your ears, rather than just smashing them like similar models. This makes for a very comfortable fit. The second, the Triport drivers are actually in line with the angle of your ear (assuming that you put them on right). This ensure that you will experience hardly any loss in sound. It’s also worth it to notice that this typical design blocks out a significant amount of outside noise. The headphones also ship with an (un-needed) extension cord and (bag-like) carrying case. In summary, these are well worth the $149.

Pros: Amazing/perfect sound, great for DVDs too, comfortable fit.

Cons: Huge price tag.
