The Kensington Pocket Mouse Pro is a full-sized optical mouse that was designed with road warriors in mind. This 2-button USB scroll wheel mouse distinguishes itself from its brethren by stashing its USB plug in a small compartment along with approximately 28″ of cord. Press the silver button on the left side of the Pocket Mouse Pro and a small door drops open revealing the USB plug. Grab the plug and gently pull out the desired length of cable from the spring loaded reel hidden deep inside the unit. Close the compartment door and your set for mousing. Very smart.
Apart from the razzle dazzle of having a mouse that is as simple to tote around as your laptop, the Kensington Pocket Mouse Pro is a simple mild-mannered optical mouse. Under Mac OS X, the 2 buttons and scroll wheel require no special software — they are satisfyingly responsive right out of the box. The mouse has an affordable US $43.99 suggested retail price, but you can find better deals online without much effort.
All-in-all the Kensington Pocket Mouse Pro is an excellent addition to any PowerBook or iBook owner’s backpack.
