Major Australian publisher switching to InDesign
In a press release issued yesterday Adobe let it be known that the switch is on. “Australia’s largest magazine publisher, Australian Consolidated Press (ACP), is transitioning to Adobe® InDesign® from QuarkXPress software. Publisher of more than 65 percent of Australian magazines including popular titles such as Cosmopolitan, ACP is currently producing 14 of its 58 titles using InDesign and expects to convert its remaining titles by September 2002.”
The publshing company’s chief information officer, Michael Mangan, claims that InDesign “is the future of design and publishing… Our conversion to InDesign is allowing us to deliver the best publications to our readers. At the same time, the improvements in workflow have been phenomenal since converting to InDesign.”
