A Lowly Apprentice Production, Inc., (ALAP), announced today an update of InEffects for Adobe InDesign. InEffects is a plug-in that brings the special effects power of an image editing program directly to InDesign. This free update serves as a maintenance update which addresses know issues in the previous version.
InEffects 1.0.2 requires Adobe InDesign 2.0.2, CS (3.0.1), or CS2 (4.0). The purchase price of InEffects 1.0.2 is USD$99.99.

InEffects saves designers time and money by eliminating the need to switch back and forth between programs in effort to add that special effect to their page layout. A Lowly Apprentice Production (ALAP) announced today a free maintenance update to XPert Tools Pro 2.1.3. This update is available free-of-charge to existing XPert Tools Pro 2.1 users by downloading the 2.1.3 installer from the company website. Updates have also been posted to components of XPert Tools that can be purchased separately like ALAP Releases XPert Align, XPert Layers, XPert Print and XPert Scale.
XPert Tools Pro is an intuitive set of palette-driven XTensions which brings both new and enhanced functionality to QuarkXPress, allowing users’ to become more creative and productive as they work more efficiently. XPert Tools Pro includes XTensions for typography, scaling, layering, aligning, navigation and printing.
