ALAP Releases InEffects 1.0.2

A Lowly Apprentice Production, Inc., (ALAP), announced today an update of InEffects for Adobe InDesign. InEffects is a plug-in that brings the special effects power of an image editing program directly to InDesign. This free update serves as a maintenance update which addresses know issues in the previous version.

InEffects 1.0.2 requires Adobe InDesign 2.0.2, CS (3.0.1), or CS2 (4.0). The purchase price of InEffects 1.0.2 is USD$99.99.

ALAP Releases XPert Tools Pro 2.1.3 Update

A Lowly Apprentice Production (ALAP) announced today a free maintenance update to XPert Tools Pro 2.1.3. This update is available free-of-charge to existing XPert Tools Pro 2.1 users by downloading the 2.1.3 installer from the company website. Updates have also been posted to components of XPert Tools that can be purchased separately like ALAP Releases XPert Align, XPert Layers, XPert Print and XPert Scale.

XPert Tools Pro is an intuitive set of palette-driven XTensions which brings both new and enhanced functionality to QuarkXPress, allowing users’ to become more creative and productive as they work more efficiently. A Lowly Apprentice Production (ALAP) announced today an updated version of its MarkIt XTension, its custom press marks XTension for QuarkXPress. MarkIt 2.0.3 serves as a maintenance update which addresses know issues in the previous version.

With MarkIt, you can make your QuarkXPress pages completely press-ready. Press marks such as trim lines, registration targets and color/grayscale bars can all be positioned by simply dragging them into a proxy of the active document. MarkIt can be customized with a logo, new registration mark, even a color or grayscale bar created in any graphics program and saved as an EPS file.

A Lowly Apprentice Production (ALAP), announced today an updated version of its tool pack for Adobe InDesign, InTools 1.1.1. This version adds support for InDesign CS2.

    , announced the release of an update for it’s Adobe Photoshop import XTension for QuarkXPress, ImagePort 1.3.1. This update resolves some known issues in previous versions.
