fontagent 20070516 205211 Insider Software unveils its plans to activate fonts for Adobe CS3 appsInsider Software today announced its roadmap for providing font auto-activation to users of Adobe Creative Suite 3 for Mac OS X. Insider has completed development of plug-ins for InDesign, InCopy and Illustrator and has also implemented a plug-in-free auto-activation architecture for Photoshop CS3.

Insider will release the new Adobe CS3 plug-ins as part of an update to FontAgent Pro. As the new plug-ins take advantage of forthcoming enhancements to FontAgent Pro, the plug-ins will be available later this Spring and will require an upgrade from previous versions of FontAgent Pro. Pricing and eligibility for free upgrades will be announced upon release.

FontAgent Pro for Mac OS X is priced at USD$99.95 and is available directly from Insider Software and resellers worldwide.

Emigre releases their new Malaga font

malaga 20070516 202640 Emigre releases their new Malaga fontToday Emigre announced their latest font: Malaga. This release is the latest from French type designer Xavier Dupre and consists of 32 matching serif types in four weights of Regular and Narrow, with accompanying italics and small caps.

The Malaga OpenType fonts include Small Caps, All Small Caps, Proportional Old Style Numbers, Proportional Lining Numbers, Tabular Old Style Numbers, Tabular Lining Numbers, Superior Numbers and Scientific Inferior Numbers, Numerator and Denominator, Fractions and Arbitrary Fractions, Ornaments.

samuraicabco 20070501 091449 Blambot hails Samurai Cab Co. as its FREE font for MayNate Piekos from Blambot.com has released his free font for May: Samurai Cab Co. As Nate says, “This is one of those instances when I needed a specific look for a comic — the setting was a futuristic anime world and I needed to letter the side of a hover-cab.” and so, out of necessity the font was born. And now, it is availabe to you in Regular and Outline in TrueType, Postscript 1 and OpenType.
