<p><!--OffDef-->The folks at Agile Web Solutions just announced that on of my favorite apps, <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/stat?id=On7yP4N4ZGM&amp;offerid=146261&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0&amp;tmpid=1826&amp;RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fitunes.apple.com%252Fus%252Fapp%252F1password-pro%252Fid319898689%253Fmt%253D8%2526uo%253D4%2526partnerId%253D30" target="itunes_store">1Password Pro</a>, now offers synchronization of secure information using one of my other favorite apps, <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTE4Mjk2OQ">Dropbox</a>. If you don&#8217;t know what 1Password is, check out this episode of MacMercTV that explains the ins and outs of <a href="http://agilewebsolutions.com/onepassword">the desktop version of the program</a>.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="382" height="313" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="src" value="http://player.wizzard.tv/player/o/i/x/128017091790/config/k-94cc6c8feb19c7eb/uuid/null/episode/k-7e7a7f305ccb8072" /><param name="name" value="movie" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="382" height="313" src="http://player.wizzard.tv/player/o/i/x/128017091790/config/k-94cc6c8feb19c7eb/uuid/null/episode/k-7e7a7f305ccb8072" name="movie" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>As you can see, 1Password is a highly secure database for keeping track of web site logins, but it <em>also</em> handles notes, credit cards, bank accounts, and software registration information—<em><strong>I just didn&#8217;t have time to go into it all in the video!</strong></em> And, obviously, they also have an iPhone and iPad app, but the question is, how to synchronize the data across all these devices with all their different abilities and restrictions?</p>
<p>With the update of 1Password Pro 3.5 for iOS devices and 1Password 3.3 for Mac, the 1Password ecosystem is now fortified with fully-automated &#8220;cloud&#8221; syncing awesomeness! Using <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTE4Mjk2OQ">Dropbox</a>, a free online storage service, users can securely store their data <em>in the cloud</em>, and synchronize their Windows, Mac and iOS devices automatically.</p>
<p>Now, your website logins, notes, credit cards, bank accounts and software registration information can be available on all of your Mac, Windows and iOS devices, automatically and effortlessly the way God intended.</p>
<blockquote><p>I cannot recommend 1Password strongly enough—<strong>your passwords are the only thing between you and identity theft</strong> and this application makes it so easy to be outrageously secure while not being forced to hand-enter crazy-long passwords across the iOS&#8217; three keyboards. They make it just as easy to be <em>secure</em> as it is for you to be <em>lazy and open to attack</em>.</p></blockquote>
<p><a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/stat?id=On7yP4N4ZGM&amp;offerid=146261&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0&amp;tmpid=1826&amp;RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fitunes.apple.com%252Fus%252Fapp%252F1password%252Fid285897618%253Fmt%253D8%2526uo%253D4%2526partnerId%253D30" target="itunes_store">1Password for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch</a> is available in the App Store for $9.99 (USD), and <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/stat?id=On7yP4N4ZGM&amp;offerid=146261&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0&amp;tmpid=1826&amp;RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fitunes.apple.com%252Fus%252Fapp%252F1password-pro%252Fid319898689%253Fmt%253D8%2526uo%253D4%2526partnerId%253D30" target="itunes_store">the Pro version</a> is available for $14.99 (USD). A Single User license of <a href="http://agilewebsolutions.com/products/1Password">1Password for the Mac</a> is available for $39.95 (USD) and a five user Family License for $69.95 (USD). A fully functioning, 30-day trial of 1Password may be downloaded for free from Agile Web Solutions&#8217; Downloads page.</p>

<p>We&#8217;ve been working hard behind the scenes to produce a new video podcast called MacMerc.TV. It&#8217;s not ready for you to subscribe to yet; we&#8217;re going to shoot a few more shows and get ahead before we start to release any. I&#8217;m posting this now because I wanted to give you this advance look to show you how it&#8217;s coming along and also because the subject of this edition, the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FFlip-Video-Camcorder-Minutes-Black%2Fdp%2FB0016BXRB6&amp;tag=macmerccom0a-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325">Flip Mino</a><img style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=macmerccom0a-20&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=1" border="0" alt=" MacMerc.TV Flip Mino" width="1" height="1" title="MacMerc.TV Flip Mino" />, was released 2 months before I was able to test it and I wanted to get the show out to you before any more time lapsed.</p>
<p>MacMerc.TV will feature the kinds of <a href="http://www.macmerc.com/articles/list/22">segments that I used to do on The Lab with Leo Laporte</a>: hardware and software product demos, tutorials, tips &amp; tricks, etcetera. I hope to release a new video every month to start and ramp up production to eventually release a show every week. MacMerc.TV is being shot in HD and will be available in formats for iPod and AppleTV users. We&#8217;re also exploring options for hosting, so if you have any suggestions, please drop me an <a href="mailto:rick@macmerc.com">email</a>.</p>
<p>Enjoy this episode and stay tuned for the official launch of MacMerc.TV!!</p>
<p><strong>Note:</strong>If you make cool Mac-compatible hardware or software, we should <a href="mailto:rick@macmerc.com">talk</a>.</p>
