Legendary Rock-n-Roll Photographer Lynn Goldsmith to Teach at PhotoshopWorld

will be a featured panelist at the upcoming PhotoshopWorld
Conference & Expo in Miami, Florida, according to the National Association of
Photoshop Professionals. Drawing from more than 30 years’ experience as a celebrity
photographer, Lynn will discuss relevant topics such as “How to Copyright and
Protect Your Work,� “The Photoshop Job Market,� “How to Sell Your Work,� and “The
Art of Digital Photography.�
As a self-taught photographer whose camera became her doorway into the lives of
the rock scene’s elite, Lynn brings an intimate knowledge of celebrity shooting
and how to manage the industry. As an avid Photoshop user and recent convert to
digital photography, Lynn will share some of the techniques she uses to produce
her award-winning photos.

“In order to compete in celebrity portraiture, you have to really know Photoshop,�
Lynn asserts. “The sessions at PhotoshopWorld teach you to think a certain way
so you can use Photoshop’s tools to their greatest potential.�

Nikon USA will equip 50 digital photography enthusiasts with top-of-the-line digital SLR cameras for an exclusive photo shoot in Miami’s South Beach district, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals announced today. The first-ever Nikon South Beach Photo Safari will take place Monday, September 29, 2003, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as part of the PhotoshopWorld Conference & Expo in Miami, Florida.
Participants in the Photo Safari will be sent out in teams of two with new Nikon digital SLRs, including Nikon’s new D2H. Photoshop User magazine’s digital camera guru Jim Patterson will lead teams through the trendy South Beach district for an afternoon of shooting professional models and Miami architecture. Nikon representatives will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions and share key techniques for shooting digital.

After the photo shoot, all participants will meet at the Roney Palace Beach Resort for the second half of the workshop. Digital photography experts will review the best shots taken and share their secrets for working with 16-bit digital camera images in Photoshop. Final images from the Safari will be shown during PhotoshopWorld sessions.

Creativity, productivity, and profitability will be the training focus of this year’s PhotoshopWorld Conference & Expo, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals announced today. Billed as “The Largest Adobe Photoshop Event In The World� and sponsored by corporate giant Adobe Systems, Inc., PhotoshopWorld will offer attendees more than 60 educational sessions and 12 after-hours events. An expanded expo hall and new product releases will also provide conference goers with an exclusive introduction to new technology from industry leaders.
Graphic designers, digital photographers, Web and DV professionals can hone their skills through conference tracks on Photoshop Creativity, Digital Photography, Productivity, The Web, Motion Graphics, Print/Prepress, and The Business Side of Photoshop. This year’s sessions will be taught by a staff of 25 instructors including Scott Kelby, Deke McClelland, Dan Margulis, Eddie Tapp, and others.
