Leo Laporte, host and creator of one of the most popular podcasts in the world, this WEEK in TECH (TWiT), today announced the TWiT.tv Podcasting Network, becoming the largest independent podcast media company, featuring 10 technology podcasts. Each TWiT.tv podcast provides context and analysis of all the significant areas of technology, from the foremost authorities and personalities in the field. Kevin Smith offers Clerks 2 commentary ”podcast”

Kevin Smith, the writer, director and star of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, is adding a sixth film to his Jersey Trilogy with the release of Clerks 2 on July 21, 2006. To promote the film and, more importantly, to encourage repeat viewing, Smith has recorded a commentary for the film that will be made available on iTunes so that fans can bring their iPods the second time they see the movie and enjoy Smith’s wisdom and wit.

Mac lifestyle podcast launched–The iLifeZone

171798205 19addf0c0e m Mac lifestyle podcast launched  The iLifeZoneThe iLifeZone launched its first episode today and it’s available free of charge on iTunes. The iLifeZone is a radio magazine-style podcast featuring three popular hosts (Christopher Breen, Scott Bourne and Derrick Story) and a variety of well-known guests. Each show is approximately 30 minutes in length. The show is co-produced by Bourne Media Group in Seattle and PixelCorps in San Francisco.

The iLifeZone podcast is available three times per month on the first tenth and twentieth day of the month via RSS, iTunes and the web. The show format is light, fast-paced and entertaining and takes a how-to and information-rich approach that minimizes punditry and opinion and maximizes news, training and information.
