FontAgent Pro adds mobile font management

Insider Software announced today FontAgent Pro version 3.2, which combines new database technology with network home directory architecture. Insider has updated the product to give greater performance in import and other critical operations than can be offered by their competition.

Network home directory support is a plus to users of font management software. Sometimes called a “mobile account”, home directories are stored on a server, so a user can log into any computer, where they will be presented with their familiar customized desktop environment, including all personal files, application preferences and font libraries and sets. All changes are stored to the home directory, which makes backing up that information much simpler.

FontAgent Pro 3.2, which is a free upgrade for licensed users of
FontAgent Pro 3.0 or later, has a suggested retail price of USD$99.95 and FontAgent Pro Workgroup Edition with serverless font-sharing is priced at USD$129.95 as are client licenses for FontAgent Pro Server. Users owning licenses of earlier versions of FontAgent Pro can upgrade to Version 3.2 Standalone Edition for USD$49.95. Upgrades to the workgroup edition are USD$64.95.
