Griffin Ships iTrip Auto for iPod…DLO likely to add item to its lawsuit

Griffin Technology today announced iTrip Auto, a new addition to its iTrip product lineup that sends your iPod’s audio content to your car FM tuner so you can listen to your iPod on your car’s built-in stereo. The iTrip Auto is built to accommodate every dock connector iPod, including iPod nano and 5th Generation iPods with video and combines Griffin’s FM transmitter technology with an integrated charger.

If you remember, last week, it was the combination of FM transmitter and charger that raised Digital Life Outfitter’s ire and got Griffin named in a patent infringement lawsuit for its RoadTrip device. Expect action to be taken against this product also.

iTrip Auto is priced at USD$69.99, and is available now… possibly for a limited time.
