Mariner Software announces Montage public beta
Mariner Software today released the public beta version of Montage 1.1, the only screenwriting software developed exclusively for Mac OS X. This is the product’s first significant update since its initial release earlier in the year. Montage 1.1 is expected to ship next month at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco.
Version 1.1 introduces several feature additions, such as:
- New! Production style scene numbering.
- New! .mac integration.
- Significant improvements in importing Final Draft and text scripts.
- Improved SmartType system.
- New! Assignable Keywords.
The Mac community is invited to download the product and make suggestions or submit bug reports. Montage makes it easy to create, edit, and manage screenplays on a Macintosh. From the ability to import Final Draft or text documents, to using custom, pre-formatted templates for film, TV, and theater, to the time-saving Smart Views, Montage guides both the first time screenwriter or the seasoned veteran, from start to finish.
The shipping version of Montage 1.1 will sell for USD$139.95 and is a free upgrade for all 1.0 customers. Support for languages other than English is expected in the near future. Montage requires Mac OS 10.3.9 or above and is fully universal and accessible.
