In a project status post made on January 12, Edward Peterlin of OpenOffice.org breaks the new to Mac users that the port from the current X11 version of OpenOffice to a native Mac OS X version has been in limbo since mid 2003. It’s not that they are abandoning the Mac platform, more that they are more strongly embracing x11.
