Poll results reveal what Mac users see as the big Mac news of 2005
BeLight Software and MacMinute announced the results of their poll on the most significant Mac-related event of the year 2005. According to the survey, 66% of Mac users consider Apple’s switch to Intel as the major event in Macintosh world. Although the opinions varied from complete denial of that move to trust and admiration, most voters have admitted that it was a paradigm shift in Apple’s strategy. The total number of votes casted by Macintosh-based users was 747.
The survey results are as follows:
- Apple goes Intel – 66.8%
- Ipod innovations – 14%
- Tiger release – 6.4%
- MacMini launch – 5.6%
- XBox presentation with G5 Mac- 1.4%
- Mighty Mouse presentation- 0.93%
- Boston Expo Cancelation- 0.8%
- Other event – 3.8%
