QuickerTek new range boosting antennas for 15- and 17-inch PowerBooks
QuickerTek
has announced the
first Airport antenna upgrades for the new 1.5GHz and 1.67GHz PowerBooks with
built in Airport Extreme. As many Powerbook owners have realized, while the thin
metallic chassis used in the machines is lightweight, it constricts the wireless
signal range of the internal Airport antenna. QuickerTek’s solution is to mount
a more powerful antenna outside the PowerBook case, free from the restrictions
of the case. These new antennas are similar to the previous QuickerTek PowerBook
antenna designs, but the internal connector has been updated for compatibility
with the latest PowerBook models. These new antennas will sell for USD$99.95 from
QuickerTek dealers.
