Twitterific updated to pway nice wiff da Leopard puddy-tat

twitterific 20071101 205003 Twitterific updated to pway nice wiff da Leopard puddy tatMy favorite social network app, Twitterific, was updated today with a nest full of new features and improvements. The most obvious one being that it now works better with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Other new features include highlighted inline Direct messages and @replies, a dock icon with unread tweet indicator, and additional keyboard shortcuts.

One item that might peck at a few people is that Twitterific now displays adds every so often between tweets. It’s really not a big deal and helps fund the programs further development. If you’d rather not see the ads, you can turn them off by registering Twitterific for a poultry sum of USD$14.95… chicken feed.

More shocking to me than the ads is that Twitterific, made by the brilliantly talented folks at IconFactory, still sports a 128×128 pixel Tiger-era icon. I’m sure the next update will look better in Cover Flow and I’m glad they chose to let us enjoy the app rather than wait any longer for a prettier birdie.
