Acrobat 8 Update for Leopard the last big patch for 10.5?

Though it hasn’t been posted as a downloadable file on Adobe’s site yet, an update to Acrobat 8 Professional that brings the app up to v8.1.2 is available. To access it, go to the Help menu in Acrobat 8 Professional and choose “Check for Updates” and it should make itself known to you.

According to Adobe blogger Adam Pratt this update represents “the last big patch…to achieve a streamlined Leopard system.” Having not upgraded my production machine to Leopard and because I rarely do any strenuous graphical “lifting” on my Leopardified MacBook Pro, I’m wondering if Pratt’s statement is in fact true: is the Adobe Creative Suite now officially Leopard-ready?   • Total Training for Adobe InDesign CS3: Essentials (USD$199.99), presented by Adam Pratt, Senior Systems engineer at Adobe who works on all of the Creative Suite Products, including InCopy and InDesign
  • Total Training for Adobe Dreamweaver CS3: Essentials (USD$199.99), featuring web guru, Janine Warner, author of more than a dozen books about the Internet, including the best-selling Dreamweaver For Dummies

The Creative Suite 3 training series offers a visual learning experience, hosted by Total Training’s industry experts on Adobe products. These pros draw from their real-world experiences so that viewers learn the right way, the first time. Each video tutorial is filled with useful tricks of the trade to help viewers further discover the software’s extensive capabilities.

The Creative Suite 3 training series ships later this month.
