The device enables ATSC reception with a rooftop or indoor antenna via a built-in standard coaxial connector.

EyeTV Hybrid also comes with a break-out cable for composite video and S-Video, enabling the connection of a set-top box to receive premium channels, digital cable and satellite TV on the Mac.

EyeTV Hybrid includes award-winning EyeTV 2.3 software, offering excellence in television viewing, recording, and video post processing on the Mac. EyeTV’s Full Screen Menu enables the remote control of all major functions of EyeTV Hybrid – either via an Apple Remote on Macintoshes that ship with Front Row, or with an optional EyeTV Remote on older Macs.

EyeTV Hybrid will be available later this month for USD$149.95 at the Apple Store, at the Elgato Online Shop as well as from specialist dealers.

The EyeTV 250, about the size of the original iPod, but looks perfectly natural beside the Mac mini. EyeTV 250 contains a powerful hardware encoder that converts analog television signals into MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 formats. In addition to the television features, EyeTV 250 also offers advanced functionality to digitize VHS video tapes and to connect video game consoles to the Macintosh.

The product will be available at the end of April for USD$199.
