MobileMe still sucks. Here’s another 60 days of it for FREE.

MobileMeUpdate 20080818 192306 MobileMe still sucks. Heres another 60 days of it for FREE.This just in…in my Inbox to be exact…if you’re unfortunate enough to be a MobileMe subscriber whose account was active as of August 19, 2008 at “0:00 PDT”, you should have just received an email from Apple outlining the MobileMe Supplemental 60-day extensions eligibility and details. This 60 days is is addition to the 30 days already given to MobileMe subscribers a few weeks ago.

As stated in the article linked above, the transition from .Mac to MobileMe was rockier than Apple expected and the service is still not up to their usual high standards. This addition 60 days is kind their effort toward a apology. I, personally, haven’t has any MobileMe problems, so the free time is all good with me.

…and yet one more update from Apple. Time Capsule and AirPort Base Station (802.11n) Firmware 7.3.2

timecapsule 20080630 213551 ...and yet one more update from Apple. Time Capsule and AirPort Base Station (802.11n) Firmware 7.3.2I must admit, I have an irrational fear of firmware updates.

The Time Capsule and AirPort Base Station (802.11n) Firmware 7.3.2 update requires that you already have AirPort Utility 5.3.2 installed (versions for Leopard, Tiger and Windows are available).

What does it do? Well, let’s see what Apple has to say…

The Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express Base Station with 802.11n* Firmware 7.3.2 updates include bug fixes.

Hmm…bug fixes. That should take care of anyone who found the write ups on the other updates too exhaustive but it doesn’t ease my fears.

Apple has updates for Tiger users too. Safari 3.1.2

safari 20080318 200824 Apple has updates for Tiger users too. Safari 3.1.2Apple doesn’t want Tiger users to feel left out of the day’s updating fun. They’ve released a special Safari 3.1.2 for Tiger update.

It’s sole purpose appears to be a WebKit update that prevents an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution while visiting a maliciously crafted website.

Whew! That’s a relief!

Now Mac OS X 10.4.11 users can visit all their favorite maliciously crafted websites again!
