BeLight Live Interior 3D

Live Interior 3D is an amazing application from BeLight Software. It allows you to be your own interior designer, and design your own rooms exactly how you want them to look. There are over 1000 professionally made objects, such as chairs, tables and lamps.

bedroom 20080331 211302 BeLight Live Interior 3DI’ve been playing around with Live Interior 3D for the last few weeks, and I have found it very easy to arrange furniture and make complete buildings. The only thing that I found to be a little difficult is navigating around within the virtual environment.

There is one very powerful feature that I would like to highlight; you are not limited by the thousands of items included in Live Interior 3D, within the application, you have access to Google 3D Warehouse, where you can download tons of additional items to use in your designs.

I would highly suggest you download the trial of Live Interior 3D before purchasing; it is a great application, but it’s not for everyone. The views are a bit tricky to master, and the final export does not necessarily show what was envisioned in your head. To me, the only problem with Live Interior 3D is that, because it is an innovative and complex product, it can seem a bit complicated. If you put in the time to learn it, I think you’ll find that BeLight has done a very good job.

iWeb 2.0.3 update released. Yesterday’s Pages 3.0.2 update somewhat explained.

numbers 20080130 200404 iWeb 2.0.3 update released. Yesterdays Pages 3.0.2 update somewhat explained.Similar to yesterday’s iWork ’08 “compatibility and performance” updates, Apple today issued a “compatibility” update to iWeb bringing it up to version 2.0.3. Again, no details on what’s been fixed.

Maybe tomorrow MacFixIt will shed some light on the changes to iWeb as the did today with Pages. According to this post, yesterday’s Pages 3.0.2 update fixed an annoying issue with the page layout application not recognizing the properly installed Helvetica fonts it requires. Evidently the Numbers 1.0.2 update didn’t address a similar bug in its programming as, upon opening the app, I am greeted by the same old error message as before.

The graphic and screenshot annotating and sharing application was demo’d by Plasq at Macworld 2007 and a year later it’s ready for the general public.
