Upgrade your art collection to Mac OS X Leopard

nitroart 20071024 193611 Upgrade your art collection to Mac OS X LeopardOnce again we bring you news from Nitrozac’s easel where she has recently signed her name to her latest masterpiece: OS X Leopard. The 7 x 9″ oil painting depicts Leopard’s big black monolithic “X” floating through time and space within Time Machine’s starscape.

The painting is currently up for auction on eBay so you can lay claim to it if the price is right.

“OS X Leopard” is Nitrozac’s 32nd paintng of her Painting Blog. The painting will be dry and ready to ship in about a 2-3 weeks after the auction ends, depending on the drying conditions and such. The back of the painting will contain the title, the date painted, Nitrozac’s signature, and a fingerprint for authenticity.

Nitrozac’s ”Fake Steve Jobs” portrait is too freakin’ real

nanopic 20070902 221531 Nitrozacs Fake Steve Jobs portrait is too freakin realNitrozac of The Joy of Tech fame, has painted and put up for auction a simply amazing 8″ x 10″ oil painting entitled “Fake Steve Jobs”.

It may be called “Fake Steve Jobs,” but this thing is too lifelike. At the time I hit “submit” on this post, the auction was at USD$523.00 after 6 bids with 3 days 8 hours left to go. Nitrozac has done many paintings and her work on The Joy of Tech is well known and respected, but this piece is, in my opinion, her best work.

Well done!

The Joy of Tech wishes you a Happy iCal Day

iCalhathead 20070716 225302 The Joy of Tech wishes you a Happy iCal DayOn this date in 2002 at the Macworld Expo in New York, Steve Jobs introduced iCal. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of iCal and I don’t think it is a particularly great program. Its icon comes pre-applied to every user account’s dock and, unless you actually use it, it stares at you all year long with the same date displayed. Finally, today, that date is actually correct–July 17th… iCal Day!

How should one celebrate iCal Day?

ical 20070716 224513 The Joy of Tech wishes you a Happy iCal DayWell, like most holidays, you celebrate iCal day by wearing a funny hat. You can also celebrate buy decorating your house. And how better to decorate your house for iCal Day than with a pieces of fine art? Along with the iCal hat and their comic, The Joy of Tech is offering an 8″ x 10″ original acrylic painting of the iCal icon for auction on eBay.

We at MacMerc.com wish you your families all the best this holiday season
