BLÜP!! TextExpander adds snippet group for commonly used accented words

textexpander 20080723 212227 BLÜP!! TextExpander adds snippet group for commonly used accented wordsThis is one of those system add ons that you become so reliant on that when you spend any time on a machine that doesn’t have it installed, you feel like you’re typing with boxing gloves on.

TextExpander saves you time and typing by allowing you to replace commonly entered text with simple, customized abbreviations. If you frequently and consistently misspell the same words (for me, that word is “Christams” as in “Merry Christams!”) you can even enter the misspelling and program TextExpander to automatically replace it with the correct spelling.

Today, TextExpander 2.3 was released with a new predefined snippet group for accented words commonly used in English. So, if you’re Twittering about some great jalapeño crêpes you had, all you have to do is type “Eating an awesome jalapeno crepe” and TextExpander will automatically replace them with the accented words.

TextExpander sells for USD$29.95 and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher. TextExpander 2.3 is a free update for registered users of TextExpander 1.x and 2.x.
