Another new logo for Quark

Back in September of last year, Quark unveiled their new logo. Not long after, snickers started circulating around the internet… Quark’s logo was none too original… aye, if it weren’t the spitting image of the Scottish Arts Council with a wee bit of green added for “logo envy”.

Well, this week Quark has come up with yet another new logo. According to the CreativePro article, Glen Turpin, the Quark’s director of corporate communications, was asked about the process behind the re-revamped logo…”Our internal creative team designed the new logo, and we received feedback from a variety of outside consultants throughout the design process. Then we undertook all the appropriate business, legal, and creative analysis in review of our new logo.”

Let’s hope this logo doesn’t turn up already in use elsewhere and further let’s hope that no one notices that the green shape inside the Q looks like a puking Pac-Man.
