242099342 1165e5096e m ViewSonic demos display with iPod connectivity at Apple ExpoViewSonic today showcased the world’s first “Made for iPod” desktop display with an integrated iPod dock at the 2006 Apple Expo in Paris. The ViewDock Series expands media player possibilities by integrating an iPod docking station into an ultra-stylish widescreen display. Additional features such as multiple connectivity options–including several USB 2.0 ports and an 8-in-1 card reader–along with a microphone, integrated stereo speakers and a subwoofer, combine to make the feature-rich monitors the hippest, must-have displays.

Availability of the ViewSonic ViewDock displays is expected later in the year at select resellers, retailers and etailers. Pricing is not yet available.

Apple also introduces a new iPod at a lower price

Apple today introduced a new iPod that features a 60 percent brighter and more vibrant 2.5-inch color display for watching TV shows and now Hollywood movies. The new iPod is available in a
30GB model at the new low price of USD$249 and an 80GB model, which holds up to 20,000 songs or 100 hours of video, for USD$349.
