iTunes Library Manager Updated

Doug’s AppleScripts for iTunes has released iTunes Library Manager, an AppleScript application that makes backup copies of the iTunes Library and iTunes Preferences, allowing users to easily save multiple iTunes Library and Preferences configurations that can be retrieved and loaded at any time.

New in iTunes Library Manager 4.1:

  • Compatible with Mac OS 10.4
  • Displays date modified of currently loaded backup library in dialogs

Apple drops prices on Cinema Displays

Apple has announced that it has made its line of widescreen flat panel Cinema Displays more affordable than ever by reducing the price of the 20-inch model to just USD$799 and the 23-inch HD model to just USD$1,499. In addition, Apple’s new 2.7 GHz Power Mac G5s and 1.67 GHz 17-inch PowerBooks now feature built-in support to directly drive Apple’s groundbreaking 30-inch Cinema HD Display, saving customers hundreds of dollars.
