Freeloader Friday Goes Freelance

Although I tend to focus on free software, I though I’d focus this week on Internet resources related to freelancing. Wether you’re between jobs and looking for something to keep you out of trouble, or you’re interested in finding something to do on the side, these web sites will help you out.

FreelancerSeek

This is a freelance job marketplace where project managers find freelancers to complete jobs. What makes this one stand out is its payment structure. There are no signup fees or monthly membership dues. FreelanceSeek takes a 7% cut of your price and even takes care of the transaction, so you don’t pay until you make money.

MacDirectory Jobs

For people with something more stable in mind there is MacDirectory’s job board. Here you’ll find heaps of opportunities for Mac employ. You can browse by topic or search the list.

All Freelance.com

This site is a great resource with information about the financial side of freelancing as well as links to a plethora of job posting sites. This is a great place to start if you are jumping into freelance, or if you are a veteran looking for more.

MacMerc.com Forums

That’s right, the shameless self promotion never ends. But seriously, it can be a lonely work out there without support. Our forums are filled with experienced Mac pros that can answer your questions and could probably use your expertise as well.

Look for more freelance resources in future Freeloader Fridays as well as other areas on our site. After all, we are here to back up you brave Mac Mercenaries out there.
