Christmas Freeware
Next week we’ll get serious with the year’s best freeware. This week we’ll relax with some just-for-fun applications.
Updated from last year, this fun little app is a perfect way for your kids to email Santa. This app simulates, uh, I mean connects and sends your message directly to Santa, producing an immediate reply.
Yes, you’ll shoot your eye out with this 7 icon set from the guys at Icon Factory. Love the movie? You’ll dig the icons.
Add blinking lights to your desktop with XMas Lights. Chose your blink frequency and bulb type. Your string of lights will sit in the background or on top of your windows for extra holiday cheer.
You don’t get much more straightforward than this. Tree is a simple Christmas tree that sits on your desktop. Lights gently pulsate to keep things interesting.
If hands-on is more your style, try this app. You can drag-and-drop decorate your tree with lights and ornaments and then export the final product. This app will create a graphic or screensaver with your tree.
Pretty much what it says – a wreath that sits in your dock. Doesn’t get cooler than this.
Can’t say I didn’t warn you. May this week’s freeware make you’re season more jolly. This is your last week to send in nominations for this year’s best of, so message me with your favorite freeware!
Happy Holidays,
