I wish I could have been there. The good news is Apple has captured the view from the back of the line for us all to experience vicariously. A camera has been positioned and programmed to take time lapse stills of the store’s first 24 hours which are being played online. If you’re in the area, run down and wave!

There is also a rather lovely gallery of images of the store before the hoards of Mac fans descended the glass staircase.
