Do you wish your Mac had the same functionality? Thanks to Marcmoini’s Smart Scroll, you can bring the same flickin’ scrolling abilities from the iPhone to the desktop.

The USD$19 System add-on runs on Mac OS X 10.3.9 to 10.5.2 (PPC/Intel) and offers “Super Scroll” and something called “Grab Scroll” which allows you to move a window’s contents by “throwing” it. Very weird. Very cool.

Smart Scroll got a bug fix update today, so if you are already a Smart Scroll user, be sure to update.

1Password Main Window 20080318 205111 1Password back up and running on Safari 3.1We got the word from Agile Web Solutions, makers of 1Password, that Safari 3.1 has caused the their password manager to stop functioning. Not to worry though, the developer is releasing 1Password version 2.5.12 to fix this issue, as well as improved support for iPhone/iPod touch and Palm applications. This update is free to all 1Password customers.

Let me take this opportunity to encourage all of you who do not have and use 1Password to store and manage your online passwords, to go download it and start using it. In addition to having an automatic form filler with support for credit cards and multiple identities that works in all the more popular Mac web browsers, it also has a secure password generator for those times when you are asked, yet again, to submit a new username and password for some killer web app. Once it submits that generated password, it automatically remembers it so you don’t have to!

It’s awesome.

1Password may be downloaded as a fully functional 30-day trial version, along with a free version limited to 20 items. A single-user license costs USD$29.95 and a family license is available for USD$39.95.

Myvu Solo Plus Edition 20080313 211522 Myvu Solo PlusThe Myvu Solo Plus is a head mounted media viewer for the iPod Video, iPod Classic, iPod nano (3rd Gen) and iPod Touch. It connects directly to the iPod through the dock connector, and provides sound and video, similar to how it would be if you connected your iPod to your TV. It provides upto 4 hours of viewing time, powered by it’s built-in rechargeable battery.

You wear it on your head the same way you would a pair of glasses, and a small controller dangles down. On the controller, you can adjust the contrast, and the brightness.

In my testing, I connect up my iPod Touch and it work seamlessly, it worked both with videos I added to my iPod and YouTube Videos. The quality of the videos that I played was not superb, but it was good enough for watching a few YouTube videos and some videos I put on my iPod.

I would recommend this product to people who use their iPods for watching a lot of videos.
