Len Peralta brings the Mac Mercenary Zombie to ”undead” life

zombiemacmerc 20070708 183046 Len Peralta brings the Mac Mercenary Zombie to undead lifeAs part of the “Summer of the Undead” promotion at Monster -by- Mail, I commissioned Len Peralta to illustrate “Rick the Mac Mercenary.”

You can get an original 4 x 6 zombie illustration by heading over to Monster-by-Mail and summoning an “undead” of your own. For USD$20, you’ll get your objet d’art delivered to your mailbox. For a bit more, Len will add a video showing him actually drawing your zombie and for a bit more than that, you’ll get the art, the video and a t-shirt.

In addition to being a zombie illustrator, Len Peralta is the co-host of the Jawbone Radio podcast and has also created images to accompany songs of my personal favorite, Jonathan Coulton.

This drawing of a zombie Mac Mercenary holding an iPhone brings thoughts to my mind of a mash-up between the zombie attack on the San Francisco Apple Store and the staggering mobs that lined up outside and pounded on the doors of Apple Stores around the US to be the first to buy an iPhone. iPhone fanatics… brain-starved zombies… are they really so different?
