The first bendable, posable iPod “friend,” iGuy is also fully functional, featuring rubberized protection, docking capability and scratch-resistant screen for the iPod and iPod Photo.

iGuy’s white, rubberized case features arms that bend to pose, and legs that fold and stretch outright to sit on the dock and recharge. The case includes a tough, removable screen protector, and enables full access to the control, headphone plug and hold switch. The iGuy is designed to fit all 4G and Photo iPods, including 20, 30, 40 and 60 gig, and retails for USD$34.95. Mini iGuy will be available in June, and will retail for USD$34.95.

Apple has announced Shake 4, a major upgrade to the industry’s leading compositing software used to create the world’s most celebrated visual effects for film and television. Shake 4 features 3D multi-plane compositing, cutting-edge optical flow image processing and unprecedented integration with Final Cut Pro 5.

Shake 4 for Mac OS X with unlimited render licenses will be available in June through the Apple Store, Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers, for a suggested retail price of USD$2,999. The cross-platform version of Shake 4 will be available for a suggested retail price of USD$4,999 through Apple Authorized Pro Film Resellers. The Shake 4 upgrade price is USD$999 . In an efforts to salvage its dwindling customer base, Quark today announced promotional pricing for QuarkXPress 6.5 full products and upgrades that asks one upgrade price from any previous version of QuarkXPress–that’s $199 for upgrades and $699 for full product. The promotional pricing is available now until June 30, 2005.
