Kernel Panic Screensaver… oh yeah, that’s all kinds of funny

Doomlaser’s Kernel Panic Screensaver simulates the Mac equivalent of the Windows Blue Screen of Death. A smoky black curtain descends upon your screen and a kind of Rosetta Stone of bad news pops in view to tell you that there is only one way out–force restart.

Now you can have that as your screen saver or, better yet, you can set it as the screen saver of a coworker without their knowledge. You are going to be oh so popular my friend.

Perform a hard drive to compact flash conversion on your iPod

Non-video-supporting iPod users might finally have something to lord over users of 5G iPods. With the instructions detailed in the video found after the “Read more” and an adapter from Mark Hoekstra (availability and price to be announced), the video’s producer, users of 4G, 3G, 2G and even 1G iPods will be empowered with the knowledge and hardware necessary to convert their mini-spinning-hard-drive based media players into a power conserving, solid state, Compact Flash-based iPod of the future!! …well, maybe that’s pushing it.
