The Apple TV is a truly cool product, if you have a widescreen TV. But what if you don’t have a TV that supports component/HDMI inputs or 480p? Suddenly this $300 product end up costing you $1200+.
If you have $50 and a Mac mini then you can make one of your own that will play just fine with your older TV. And this one will play your DVDs and DivX files too. Don’t have a spare mini? We got options for you too.
