linkshare 20070605 120415 Apple shuts down Apple Store US and Canada LinkShare Affiliate ProgramsLinkShare announced to its affiliate partners today that Apple has decided to shut down the Apple Store US and Apple Store Canada LinkShare Affiliate Programs. Remaining active is the iTunes and .mac affiliate programs which continue to run through the LinkShare Network.

All Apple Store US LinkShare links will work until End of Day June 30, 2007, and Apple Store US will pay commissions earned through such date on Net Orders received through a LinkShare affiliate link. After June 30, the program will no longer accept transactions and links will cease to work and sales commissions will no longer accrue.

Mariner Software announces Montage public beta

Mariner Software today released the public beta version of Montage 1.1, the only screenwriting software developed exclusively for Mac OS X. This is the product’s first significant update since its initial release earlier in the year. Montage 1.1 is expected to ship next month at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco.

Version 1.1 introduces several feature additions, such as:

  • New! Production style scene numbering.
  • New! .mac integration.
  • Significant improvements in importing Final Draft and text scripts.
  • Improved SmartType system.
  • New! Assignable Keywords.

The Mac community is invited to download the product and make suggestions or submit bug reports. Montage makes it easy to create, edit, and manage screenplays on a Macintosh. From the ability to import Final Draft or text documents, to using custom, pre-formatted templates for film, TV, and theater, to the time-saving Smart Views, Montage guides both the first time screenwriter or the seasoned veteran, from start to finish.

The shipping version of Montage 1.1 will sell for USD$139.95 and is a free upgrade for all 1.0 customers. Support for languages other than English is expected in the near future. Montage requires Mac OS 10.3.9 or above and is fully universal and accessible.
