iGetter v2.4 for Mac OS X released

Presenta Ltd. is pleased to announce the new release of iGetter version 2.4 for Mac OS X. iGetter is a full featured download manager and accelerator. iGetter can greatly improve the speed of your downloads using segmented downloading. In addition it allows auto resume on broken downloads, queue filtering by various criteria, site explorer, history list, scheduling downloads for low traffic periods, auto redial on broken connection, auto hang-up and shut down on completion, and much more.



iGetter is shareware that requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later. The software can be evaluated for as long as it’s needed to decide if it suits the user’s needs. All registered users will get free support by email and free upgrades in the major 2.x versions. The registration fee for iGetter is USD$25.

Matt MacInnis graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. After working for a number of years in consumer marketing, Matt returned to his technical roots in 2004 and joined Apple’s Worldwide Science and Technology Markets group to grow Apple’s high performance computing business, and manages solutions like the Apple Workgroup Cluster for Bioinformatics.

Zonic releases SwapTop 2.1.1

Zonic announce the release of SwapTop 2.1.1 a maintenance release for their Desktop Picture manager. This update ensures compatibility and support for Apple’s forthcoming Tiger release, and also includes a number of minor bug fixes. SwapTop allows you to schedule changes to your desktop picture, and can display both your personal collection of images (e.g. from iPhoto) or automatically download new pictures from the SwapTop image server. Furthermore, SwapTop supports Picture-in-Picture allowing you to display additional images as Overlays that float above your desktop, but below your desktop items. You can display as many pictures as you like, at any size you want, placed anywhere on your desktop. Happy thoughts and special memories displayed on your desktop just the way you want them.

SwapTop 2.1.1 is available immediately, and costs USD$24.95 for a single user, and requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later.
