The current release promises to transform Windows XP based PCs and laptops into personal on-the-go digital TVs, the Slingbox allows individuals anywhere-anytime access to their own living room television experience with no additional monthly service fees. In the coming months, SlingPlayer software will be available for select PDAs, smart phones, and Macs and will be fully compatible with the Slingbox.

Aspyr keeping its system requirement cards close to its vest

Aspyr Media today announced they plan to no longer announce preliminary system requirements for games under development. On all future projects, only final system requirements will be given once testing of those requirements is complete — typically 4 to 6 weeks before the game ships.

Aspyr’s game utility for Mac, Game Agent, will have the most up-to-date information on final system requirements for all released games and those still under development. A free download of Game Agent is available here.
