Naked Software’s FREE Crimson FX brings lightsaber technology to non-Jedi
As mentioned on BoingBoing, Naked Software’s Crimson FX is an effect generator designed to make adding laser and lightsaber effects in Quicktime movies and DV streams as easy as possible.
The story behind Crimson FX starts with another BoingBoing post that showed how to create rotoscope Lightsaber effects. Unfortunately, it required the use of expensive and complicated software. Naked Software’s programmer put together Crimson FX to bring lightsaber technology to the masses.

PS: If you want to try this application, you might take the final product, edit it in iMovie and add some sounds.
