CT-scan of an Apple Design Award
On June 29th Mekentosj (two PhD students of the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam) won the Apple Design Award for ‘Best Mac OS X Student Product’. Besides a PowerBook and Cinema Display they received an Award: a metal cube with an Apple logo that starts glowing after the cube has been touched. Together with the Radiotherapy Department of the NKI-AVL we have scanned the cube with a cone beam CT-Scan and reconstituted the cube in 3D.
