The iPod gets some wood

The first is a custom wooden iPod case offered by Peter Kinne Design that features padded insides, an intergrated belt clip, a data port, a positive-lock closure as well as stainless steel salvaged from old bikes. (I did mention the story came from a site called “Treehugger”)

The case is available for iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod photo and 3rd 4th and 5th Generation iPods for USD$45 (the nano case goes for USD$35). 1st and 2nd Generation iPod cases can be ordered by special email request.

These earphones, made by the Tokyo based Amanada, are indeed made with bamboo and feature an “ear hanger” design that allows for a custom-fit around the users ears. As Treehugger notes, it doesn’t look like they’re available outside of Japan, but can be purchased for 12,000 yen if you find yourself in the neighborhood.
