Nitrozac’s ”Fake Steve Jobs” portrait is too freakin’ real

nanopic 20070902 221531 Nitrozacs Fake Steve Jobs portrait is too freakin realNitrozac of The Joy of Tech fame, has painted and put up for auction a simply amazing 8″ x 10″ oil painting entitled “Fake Steve Jobs”.

It may be called “Fake Steve Jobs,” but this thing is too lifelike. At the time I hit “submit” on this post, the auction was at USD$523.00 after 6 bids with 3 days 8 hours left to go. Nitrozac has done many paintings and her work on The Joy of Tech is well known and respected, but this piece is, in my opinion, her best work.

Well done!

Nitrozac’s smallest painting of Apple’s smallest iPod up for auction

shufflepainting 20070423 202544 Nitrozacs smallest painting of Apples smallest iPod up for auctionAs you may know, our friend Nitrozac from The Joy of Tech has been creating and auctioning a unique series of paintings since last October.

Her latest creation (currently up for bids on eBay) is appropriately her smallest yet at a mere 4-inches square. Appropriate because the subject of her geek high culture offering is none other than Apple’s smallest iPod: the 2G iPod shuffle.

Bidding will come to a close and the gavel will come down on this objet d’art on April 29 at 10:39PDT.

Nitrozac’s most recent creation is a depiction of Clarus the Dogcow (from the Mac OS’s Print dialog windows) with two of her puppies… or should they be pupcalves? The geek masterpiece Dogcow and her Puppies is up for bid now on eBay.
