Mireth Technology adds Photo VCD playback to MacVCD X 4.4.1

Mireth Technology has just released MacVCD X 4.4.1, a VCD / Video player that purports to play almost everything. To further support his claim, version 4.4.1 adds Photo VCD playback. MacVCD X is available for immediate download, or on CD-ROM, starting at USD$19.95. Registered users of previous versions of MacVCD X can upgrade for free.

Newsweek still uses OS9?

In a pretty serious story about hunting down terrorist webmasters, Newsweek shows off a large screenshot of a terror website. The page is shown off in IE which isn’t too much of a surprise, but the big surprise is that it’s in OS 9! With the 5th version of OS X about ready to ship, Newsweek seriously needs an upgrade.
