This week Google made good on its promise with a Mac version of its video player. Downloading from YouTube is easier than ever and voice and video VoIP is new to the Mac.

The new Google Video Player for Mac allows you to watch videos downloaded from Google Video, browse scenes within a video using thumbnails, skip to anywhere in the video (even if that portion hasn’t downloaded yet), as well as watch in full screen mode and automatically resume video downloads.

PC World today announced the winners of its annual World Class Awards. The “100 Best Products of 2006″ in the July issue features the finest products and services of the past 12 months, from antispyware utilities to wireless broadband technology, from Adobe Photoshop CS2 to Z-Wave. The issue will be on newsstands June 13, but the article is available now.
The complete list of ranked winners includes Apple’s iPod nano as Best Digital Audio Player, Boot Camp as Best Dual Booter, the Mac mini as Best Value Desktop Computer, the iPod as Best Digital Audio/Video Player and iTunes as Best Digital Audio Software. PC World’s editors made their selections based on exemplary design, features, performance, innovation, and price. The honorees were selected after editors reviewed hundreds of products, including those that have appeared in the magazine over the last year.
