MakeiPhoneRingtone makes your iPhone a true outlet for self-expression
In an effort to simplify the process of creating iPhone ringtones posted yesterday, the geniuses at Rogue Amoeba have compiled the technique of getting your ringtone creation into your iPhone into a freeware app they call MakeiPhoneRingtone. With this handy dandy bit of software, you can upload the ringtones you created in Fission by following their tutorial and use MakeiPhoneRingtone to get them on your iPhone.
Rogue Amoeba is well aware that Apple has been quick to stomp on methods of uploading user-created iPhone ringtones by means of iTunes updates, and pledge “we’ll do our best to keep MakeiPhoneRingtone working with iTunes updates.”
For now, music currently unavailable on iTunes can now be used to announce an incoming call on your iPhone. Enjoy it while it lasts.
