Sonnet Technologies announces Tempo-X eSATA 8, the first Serial ATA (SATA) host controller with eight external
ports for Apple Power Macintosh computers. This high-performance adapter utilizes the
PCI-X interface to take advantage of the enhanced performance offered in
fast Power Mac G5 computers while retaining compatibility in standard PCI
slots. Each port is independently capable of data transfer rates of up to
150MB/s, while much higher transfer rates may be achieved when connected
drives are grouped in a RAID array.

Tempo-X eSATA 8 (Part no. TSATA-X8) is available immediately with a retail
price of USD $299.95.
