Extensis Ships Suitcase and Font Reserve Plug-ins for Adobe InDesign CS2

Extensis today announced that it is now offering free Suitcase (download Suitcase plug-in 11.0.4 here) and Font Reserve (download Font Reserve plug-in 4.0.3 here) plug-ins for Adobe InDesign CS2 that automatically activates fonts used in InDesign documents. The plug-ins ensure that anytime an InDesign CS2 file is opened, the exact fonts used in the file are automatically activated.

The free plug-ins are available now for download from the links provided above and support Suitcase X1 Single User and Suitcase X1 Client, as well as Font Reserve 3.1.4 Single User and Font Reserve Client 1.7.4. The new plug-ins require the latest update of InDesign CS2 from Adobe (version 4.0.1). With this update from Adobe, global font auto-activation is no longer supported by InDesign CS2, so plug-ins for third party font management products are a requirement in order to support font auto-activation.

Aspyr keeping its system requirement cards close to its vest

Aspyr Media today announced they plan to no longer announce preliminary system requirements for games under development. On all future projects, only final system requirements will be given once testing of those requirements is complete — typically 4 to 6 weeks before the game ships.

Aspyr’s game utility for Mac, Game Agent, will have the most up-to-date information on final system requirements for all released games and those still under development. A free download of Game Agent is available here.
