Sol Robots releases Road Trip Effect 2.5

Sol Robots announced today the release of Road Trip Effect and Road Trip Effect Pro version 2.5, a video effect generator that plots paths over maps and other images. Version 2.5 is a Universal Binary and so runs natively on both Intel and PowerPC Macs. This version also improves the quality of the final generated QuickTime output. In addition to numerous other refinements, Road Trip Effect Pro 2.5 now contains additional airplane and automobile icons whose size and color can be customized.

Road Trip Effect Pro licenses are available now from Sol Robots for USD$24.95. Road Trip Effect (Standard Edition) is available from Sol Robots for USD$9.95. Existing users of either product can download version 2.5 of their particular software package for free (Updates are delivered by download from the Sol Robots website. CD updates are an additional $15 which includes shipping and handling.)

It’s kind in the Indiana Jones movies when the red line traveling over the world map shows where Indy has been.

Road Trip Effect Pro makes it possible to add multiple road trip segments (layers) to the same movie. Each layer has its own icon, color, width, timing, points, labels etc. Layers can be played in parallel, sequentially, or both. Both Road Trip Effect and Road Trip Effect Pro now support saving a Road Trip Effect Project, so that you can always go back to the original and edit it.
