Iconfactory artist, Louie Mantia, has submitted an icon set inspired by Pixar’s robots WALL•E + EVE. The set of 18 hard drive icons contrasts the industrial design of the sleek Apple-like EVE with the “industrial accident” look of the garbage bot WALL•E.
The icons are freeware so go download them and check them out. And if you find that you don’t like them, you can feel free to toss them into space.

Sol Robots announced today the release of Road Trip Effect and Road Trip Effect Pro version 2.5, a video effect generator that plots paths over maps and other images. Version 2.5 is a Universal Binary and so runs natively on both Intel and PowerPC Macs. This version also improves the quality of the final generated QuickTime output. In addition to numerous other refinements, Road Trip Effect Pro 2.5 now contains additional airplane and automobile icons whose size and color can be customized.
Road Trip Effect Pro licenses are available now from Sol Robots for USD$24.95. Road Trip Effect (Standard Edition) is available from Sol Robots for USD$9.95. Sol Robots announced today the release of The Road Trip Effect 1.5, a significant update to their software for generating Indiana Jones-like transitions for your travel videos. The Road Trip Effect now supports High Definition output, and gives the user control over how the movie is compressed.
