Maelstrom 3.0

I was happy to see this classic come back in both OS X and classic form. Spin, thrust and blast your way through the asteroids offline or with others on the Internet.

GLTron

Another classic reborn: GLTron. This game is pretty simply Tron for OS X with a funky 80′s soundtrack (in stereo). Tip: remap the keys.

Quinn

Tetris in OS X. Not much more to say about this one. Have fun!

Virtual Pet Rock

Another free game. This one requires a serial number you get online. This unique number will allow you to upload information on your pet rock to the web site. Sad? Yes, but a great time killer.

The Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program (REP) is over

That’s the word: Apple’s Global Service Exchange is no longer accepting claims on the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program.

If you have one of the iBooks with a serial number falling within the range that was covered by the Repair Extension Program and it starts showing scrambled or distorted video, weird lines on the screen, an intermittent video image or full-on video freeze there may still be hope. If the machine is within three years of the original purchase date, contact Apple Customer relations and complain and you may just qualify for service.

Miglia and Aquafadas offer cross-discount on Director’s Cut and iDive

Miglia Technology, a leading European manufacturer of video, audio and storage products, today announced that it has teamed up with Aquafadas Software, creators of the renowned iDive application, to provide a 10% discount on the Miglia Director’s Cut range and a 20% discount on iDive.
