His art can be seen here at the ForkedUpArt Shop and includes several pieces that join bent spoons and forks into anthropomorphized iPhone stands. Three of the tines of each fork “hand” wrap around the iPhone while the bottom on curls under to support its weight. Spoons make up the legs and feet and another spoon or fork ties it all together as the spine and head of the cutlery creature.

Each of these iPhone-holding creations sells for US$30.

At first look, the G-DRIVE mobile FireWire G DRIVE mobile FireWire1 will remind you of Apple’s MacBook Pro and though it’s not milled out of a single slab of aluminum, it is clearly cut from the same design cloth as the revolutionary notebook. G-Technology includes a FW800-to-FW400 cable for those of us who still makes use of some of Apple’s older tech. Best of all for this coffee shop hopping blogger, the drive is bus powered. That’s right—no frikkin’ brick. Yes, that means it will drain your MacBook Pro’s battery while it’s attached but, hey, you don’t need to leave it attached all the time and I bet you perpetually keep your notebook tethered to the wall with AC power anyway.2

Down to the cost and quality, the G-DRIVE mobile, like all drives I’ve ever had from G-Technology, is top tier and as such is a little bit more expensive than the run-of-the-mill portable FireWire drive. But at USD$149.99 with a 3-Year warranty, I think you’re getting incredible value and dependability. This is a sweet little drive and belongs in your laptop case.

Those that know are aware of the slew of free blogging applications. This site lets you shop these by feature. By far, this site offers the most comprehensive examination of content management systems on the web.

Wikinews Beta

The group that brought you the Wikipedia free encyclopedia are testing out a new concept in community maintained news. The experiment in wiki news is viewable and waiting for your contributions.

Lulu.com

This new face in print-on-demand offers a no-cost way for you to bring your masterpiece to the masses. Lulu prints and ships your book, calendar or music to buyers you bring to your free Lulu hosted shop.

The Extension Mirror

This site hosts an exhaustive list of Firefox and Thunderbird extensions and themes, including hundreds not listed on update.mozilla.org. In fact, the folks at Extension Mirror even have instructions of updating defunct extension to work in newer version of Firefox and Thunderbird – and host many of these ‘revived’ extensions.
