Jumping Steve is an iTunes visualizer that puts a Joy of Tech illustrated Steve Jobs on your screen dancing to whatever you pump through iTunes.

I don’t know if I’d leave this on as my default visualizer, but it is certainly good for a laugh. I hope Apple legal doesn’t make this go away.

Gotta love the ScotteVest iPod ad spoof

The ScotteVest (or SeV) is a garment that “allows users to discretely carry multiple electronic devices in the concealed, ergonomically designed pocket system, as well as connect gadgets with the patented Personal Area Network. …The PAN consists of hidden channels that allow users to connect devices without any visible wires.”

With the explanation of what it is out of the way, check out their ad that pokes fun at the popular iPod silhouette campaign. Very clever.

Attack of the iPod People

My latest Photoshop tutorial attempts to aid you in turning one of your own pictures into an iPod silhouette poster. While this effect has been covered in several tutorials on other websites, I believe this one is unique as it not only preserves the subtle tones from within the silhouette, it also serves as a primer for the Extract filter and will help Photoshop users to better understand how this enigmatic feature works to isolate an image’s subject from its background.

It is important to note that this tutorial is in “open beta” and while it poses no threat to your images or your Mac, there may be errors in its writing. If you find such an error please let
