iPod earbuds not big enough for you? Try these!

500xl 648 20080123 203216 iPod earbuds not big enough for you? Try these! From day one, many iPod users complained that the earbuds packaged with the media device were uncomfortably large. They ain’t seen nothing yet!

From worldwidefred.com come the 500XL Speakers that look like ginormous iPod earbuds.

we took a puny pair of earbuds, put them in Fred’s highly technical Way Big machine, and created 500XL – it’s 500 times the size of the original!

The 500XL includes a built-in amp and 3-way power (batteries/USB/AC Adapter–not included).

Since there doesn’t seem to be any information available on the price of the 500XL and the product image is quite obviously Photoshopped, it doesn’t look like it’s ready to ship or even pre-order.

Make Safari bigger. Make Mail smaller. I know, it doesn’t make sense.

safaristretch 20080104 225514 Make Safari bigger. Make Mail smaller. I know, it doesnt make sense. Here are two add-ons that take opposing views on productivity:

Safari-Stretch resides in Safari’s bookmarks bar and allows you to maximize the browser’s window in a single click. Safari-Stretch even respects your Dock no matter what position its in…right, left, bottom, whatever. Let Safari take over your screen and block out all other distractions. Safari-Stretch is totally free.

Meanwhile, there’s MiniMail that reduces the Mail.app window to a size similar to the iTunes window when it’s been “Zoomed” down to the basic controls. Keep your screen unobstructed by Mail’s massive window.

MiniMail sells for USD$9
